Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
    • Arrival at Marrakech airport. Transfer to hotel.

    • Evening free to explore Jemaa El-Fna square, local souks, and outdoor restaurants.

    • Overnight at a 3* hotel in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech → Tichka Pass → Ouarzazate → Skoura Oasis → Valley of Roses → Dadès Valley → Tagdilt (1,600 m)
    • Early morning drive across the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m).

    • Stop at traditional Berber villages along the way.

    • Lunch in Ouarzazate; optional visit to Taourirt Kasbah.

    • Continue through Skoura Oasis, Valley of Roses, and Dadès Valley.

    • Arrival in Tagdilt at the foot of Djebel Saghro. Meet the mule team for trekking support.

    • Dinner and overnight at a local Berber home.

    • Driving time: ~6 hours.

    • Meals included: breakfast (Marrakech), lunch (Ouarzazate), dinner (Tagdilt).

Day 3: Tagdilt → Imi N’Ouarg (1,850 m) → Tizi N’Ouarg → Almou N’Ouarg (2,300 m)
      • Begin trekking from Tagdilt through arid, rolling landscapes and small Berber villages.

      • Pause at a natural spring for lunch.

      • Afternoon ascent to Tizi N’Ouarg (2,200 m), then descent to Almou N’Ouarg (2,300 m) for bivouac.

      • Overnight under the stars.

      • Hiking duration: ~6 hours.

      • Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 4: Almou N’Ouarg → Kouaouack Summit (2,600 m) → Tassigdelt → Igli (1,700 m)
    • Morning ascent to the summit of Kouaouack (2,600 m) with panoramic views over Saghro and High Atlas.

    • Descend through colorful volcanic landscapes, encountering Aït Atta nomads.

    • Afternoon trek to Igli oasis; overnight bivouac.

    • Hiking duration: ~6 hours.

    • Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 5: Igli → Taghort Pass → Saghro Needles → Oumgisse Gorges → Bâb N’Ali → Ighazoun (1,400 m)
    • Morning hike to Taghort Pass with panoramic views.

    • Descend through villages and nomad camps, observing traditional life.

    • Cross Oumgisse Gorges and the iconic Saghro Needles and Bâb N’Ali rock formations.

    • Overnight bivouac near Ighazoun village.

    • Hiking duration: ~6 hours.

    • Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 6: Ighazoun → Alhyane Pass → Tifdassine & Handour Villages → M’Hamid El Ghizlane → Chegaga Dunes
      • Morning trek to Alhyane Pass, then through valleys with sparse vegetation and small Saharan villages.

      • Meet local communities and observe oasis agriculture.

      • After ~4 hours of hiking, transfer by vehicle to M’Hamid El Ghizlane, then 4x4 across desert plains to Chegaga dunes.

      • Sunset at the dunes; dinner under the stars in a nomadic bivouac.

      • Hiking duration: ~3 hours.

      • Transfer: ~6.5 hours (2.5h vehicle + 4h desert piste).

      • Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 7: Chegaga → Drâa Valley → Agdz → Ouarzazate
    • Sunrise walk among Chegaga dunes.

    • Return to M’Hamid by 4x4; lunch at local auberge.

    • Continue drive through Drâa Valley, stopping at ksours, palm groves, and small villages.
