This accessible trekking adventure takes you through the picturesque Berber villages of the Azzaden Valley, where you will encounter traditional architecture, ancient irrigation systems, and terraced agriculture. Over 4 days of trekking, you will gradually acclimatize to higher altitudes in preparation for the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa at 4,167 meters.
Starting from Marrakech, the journey includes mule-assisted luggage transport, expert guidance from a French-speaking local guide, and nights spent in charming riads, traditional gîtes, and the Neltner Refuge. The trek offers panoramic views of the High Atlas, encounters with local communities, and the unforgettable experience of standing atop Toubkal. The ascent is manageable in spring, summer, and autumn, with more technical gear (crampons and ice axe) required in winter beyond 2,500 meters.
This trek is perfect for anyone looking for a mix of adventure, culture, and mountain scenery in just a few days, while still enjoying comfortable accommodations and traditional Moroccan cuisine.
