Overview

South of the High Atlas lies the Siroua massif, a striking volcanic range dominated by the 3,304 m peak of Jbel Siroua. Known as Morocco’s saffron land, this region offers a fascinating mix of cultivated valleys, ancient Berber villages, and wild basalt ridges. This 8-day trek takes you through remote villages like Aït Tigga and Tizgui, across high volcanic plateaus, and up to the summit of Siroua, where the views stretch from the snowy High Atlas peaks to the arid expanses of the Anti-Atlas and Sahara. Along the way, you’ll share warm encounters with locals, camp under starry skies, and experience Morocco’s mountain culture at its most authentic.
