A short yet intense adventure to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa. This program is designed for hikers looking for a condensed but unforgettable experience, combining Berber culture, breathtaking mountain scenery, and the challenge of the ascent.
Meet at Marrakech train station. Welcome by your guide and transfer by taxi or 4x4 (1h30) to Imlil, a traditional Berber village at the foot of Toubkal. Check-in at a comfortable riad surrounded by gardens. Meet the local team (muleteers, cook) and prepare for the ascent.
Dinner & overnight stay at Riad Jnane Imlil
After breakfast, start the trek towards the Toubkal Refuge, passing through Sidi Chamharouch shrine, an important local pilgrimage site. Continue the ascent through wild valleys until reaching the refuge.
Elevation gain: +1,400 m / -50 m
Hiking time: 4–5 hours
Optional: Afternoon climb to a nearby peak (3,900 m).
Dinner & overnight stay at Toubkal Refuge
Early morning departure for the Toubkal summit (4,167 m). About 3h30 to reach the top with 940 m elevation gain. From the summit, enjoy panoramic 360° views from the Sahara Desert to the Marrakech plain, and on clear days, even the Atlantic coast. Descend 2h to the refuge, then continue 3h down to Imlil (total 2,000 m descent).
Evening hammam experience in the village, followed by a festive dinner with the Moroccan team.

Overnight stay at Riad Atlas Imlil
After breakfast, transfer to Ouarzazate (or return to Marrakech upon request).
