This 8-day trekking journey is the perfect balance between cultural immersion and mountain adventure. Starting from Marrakech, the route takes you across the stunning valleys of the High Atlas and into the heart of Berber country, where you’ll share authentic moments with local communities and stay in traditional gîtes.
The trek begins in Oukaïmeden, Morocco’s ski resort, where you’ll meet your support team before setting off through valleys and passes leading to remote villages such as Tacheddirt, Ikkiss, and Aït Aïssa. Along the way, you’ll discover terraced fields, ancient trails, waterfalls, and spectacular views over the Atlas range. Nights are spent in family-run lodges or guesthouses, providing both comfort and cultural exchange.
From the village of Imlil, the gateway to Toubkal, the adventure turns towards the high mountains. The trail leads to the Refuge Neltner at 3,207 m, where climbers prepare for the summit push. On day six, you’ll begin your early morning ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m). The climb is non-technical in spring, summer, and autumn, and rewards hikers with magnificent 360° views over the Atlas, the Sahara, and even the Atlantic on clear days.
The program ends back in Marrakech, where you’ll have time to explore the lively medina, monuments, and vibrant souks before departure.
