Overview

The Jbel Saghro massif, south of the High Atlas, is one of Morocco’s most spectacular presaharan regions. Its volcanic peaks, lunar landscapes, and dramatic canyons have long been home to the nomadic Aït Atta tribes. This trek begins in Marrakech, crosses the Valley of Roses, and ventures deep into Saghro for six days of trekking. Highlights include the Assaka gorges, the volcanic cirque of Igli, and the climb of Kouaouch (2,592 m). Nights are spent in camps and traditional Berber homes, offering cultural immersion and a chance to share stories with locals. Jbel Saghro is wild, authentic, and unforgettable—a journey for those who love raw landscapes and meaningful encounters.
